A note from Keith: Sometimes the motion that runs through a piece of art is what makes it work. This is such a case. I wanted the feeling, even though it was wolves, that the “hounds” had been loosed. There is a frenetic energy associated with that thought and it is powerful. The wolves are running through the frame in a wide arc, suggesting high speed. The man is pointing the way, urging them on, and stand as an anchor that pulls arc of motion into the frame. The man/dog interaction is something that most people can relate to as well.
