Note from Keith:  I suppose the fact that I like to paint dragons is not a well kept secret.  Usually, when I paint a dragon, it’s shown with people, not other monsters.  When I read this scene in the novel, I knew I had an interesting confrontation for the cover illustration.  Fortunately, the scene revolved around a human.  Having a small human figure featured was the only way I could give everything else scale.  Without that reference point, the scene becomes much less dramatic.
