Note from Keith: It’s not everyday that you get to put a relative in a cover illustration. In this piece the criminals are selling a gemstone to a white-haired character in a trench coat. That’s my father! He always was one to drive a hard bargain, so I thought it would be great fun to put him in a position where those skills would be tested. Well, that and the fact that he agreed to do it, and he didn’t drive a hard bargain when it came time for negotiating the modeling fee. Free is good.
