A note from Keith:  The background for this painting is taken from my favorite hiking spot in Wisconsin.  The subjects in this piece are covered head-to-toe in clothing and gear.  Well, it’s cold out there!  If it were me, I would be covered too.  Much of fantasy art is based on showing lots of skin and muscles.  My approach, as you can see, is usually a little different.  Of course that philosophy doesn’t apply to all types of subject matter …. ahem.
