The Memory of Earth: Homecoming: Volume 1
Note from Keith: This was an interesting picture of lay out. The tarps were used as a compositional element to draw the viewer’s eye down into the scene. This actually had the potential of being a very busy street scene. With the use of shadow and tarps, however, the viewer’s eye is taken right where I wanted it to go; to the subject under the arch.
While this painting was done for the cover of Orson Scott Cards novel, The Memory of Earth – Keith named this paiting “The Marketplace”.
