Note from Keith: When painting this book cover, I had an idea for a type layout which, in itself, is fairly unusual. I thought it would be interesting to run the type up the side of the book instead of across the top. When I showed the art director my sketch, I told her about my idea. She was very receptive and thought it would make a great cover. This painting marked one of the few times I had a hand in designing type placement.
